When God Feels Silent

A quiet heaven is not an empty one. Some of God’s best work sounds like nothing at all.

When God feels silent,
do not grade His love
by the volume.
Silence is not absence.
A teacher is quietest
during the test.
Keep looking toward Him.
Keep listening anyway.
He will hear you.
He always has.

“Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7 (KJV)

What does Micah 7:7 mean?

Micah answers a silent season with a decision: “I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation.” Waiting is aimed at God, and it ends with confidence: “my God will hear me.”

What should I do when God feels silent?

Do not grade His love by the volume. Keep looking toward Him, keep praying honestly, and stay in the posture of listening. Silence is a season, not a verdict.
