Hands folded in prayer beside a window at first light, God is working in the waiting

God Is Working In The Waiting

Silence is not absence. God is rarely in a hurry, and never late.

God is working in the waiting,
even when nothing
looks like it is moving.
The prayer you whispered
is not forgotten.
Heaven is not slow.
It is thorough.
Wait well.
He is not finished.

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Psalm 27:14 (KJV)

What does Psalm 27:14 mean?

It is an instruction to wait on the Lord with courage, with a promise attached: He will strengthen your heart while you wait.

How do I trust God while I am waiting?

Treat the waiting as part of the work, not a delay of it. God is working in the waiting, even when nothing looks like it is moving.
