Not Every Goodbye Is A Loss
Some endings hurt and still help. Both can be true at the same time.
Not every goodbye is a loss.
Some goodbyes are protection
you could not see yet.
Some doors closed
because what was behind them
would have cost you yourself.
Thank God for the ones that closed,
and walk lighter.
How do you let go of someone you still care about?
Slowly and honestly. You can grieve what was and still accept what is. Not every goodbye is a loss; some are protection you could not see yet.
Why does letting go hurt if it is the right thing?
Because attachment does not end the day a decision is made. Pain is not proof you chose wrong. It is proof you cared.
