Sunrise breaking over a quiet field after rain, joy comes in the morning

Joy Comes In The Morning

The night is real. So is the morning. One of them is not permanent.

The night is real.

Weeping gets a night.

with you at sunrise,
and it keeps its appointments.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Psalm 30:5 (KJV)

What does Psalm 30:5 mean?

It promises that sorrow is seasonal. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. The night is real; it is just not permanent.

What do you say to someone in a long hard season?

Do not rush their night or deny it. Sit with them in it, and remind them gently: joy keeps its appointments.
