Be Still And Know
Be still is not doing nothing. It is doing the hardest thing: trusting without grabbing.
Be still
is not doing nothing.
It is laying down
the striving,
the rehearsing,
the gripping.
And remembering
who God is
when you cannot see
what He is doing.
Be still, and know.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
What does “Be still, and know that I am God” mean?
It is God telling His people to stop striving and remember who He is. Stillness is trust with its hands open.
How do you practice being still?
Start small: put the phone down, breathe, pray honestly, and leave one outcome in God’s hands on purpose today.
